President Chartrand Thanks MNO, Says We Must Stand Together

In 2007, Manitoba Métis Federation President, David Chartrand delivered remarks to the Métis Nation of Ontario’s Annual General Assembly in Thunder Bay.

During his address, President Chartrand honoured MNO’s leadership for their determination in moving forward the Powley case, which benefitted the entire Métis Nation, saying, “I think the Nation will always be thankful to your government.”

He also thanked the Powley family for their sacrifices and ended by emphasizing the need for unification within the Métis Nation and standing together in moving forward.
